Freie Universität Berlin (FU Berlin) was one of nine German universities selected in 2007 to receive funding in the Excellence Initiative jointly sponsored by the German federal government and the governments of the German states, and was approved in the Excellence Initiative in 2012 for another five years until 2017. In 2019, the Berlin University Alliance, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin, has won funding as a group in the Universities of Excellence funding line of the German government’s Excellence Strategy. The famous Charité University Medical Center is Europe's largest medical research institute; its humanities ranks first in Germany and is also in the leading position in international academic field; Einstein, Planck, Heisenberg and other world's top scientists have devoted themselves to scientific research at this University.

Main Bridge is honored to have invited Freie Universität Berlin to host two sessions of Preparatory Class in 2017 - 2019 Summer. In information session, the admission officer of FU Berlin introduced prerequisites, application process and admissions for foreign students, and various curriculums and degrees available at FU Berlin. The officer gave advice about selection of University and choice of college major. A closing panel discussion with the officer ended up this session. In campus tour, the main building of the University, the Henry - Ford House, the famous language department library, known as the "Berlin brain" were visited. You could enjoy your lunch at the cafeteria.
